In the last two days I have abused twitter’s character limit twice.
Raw Oatmeal
Place 1 cup rolled oats in bowl.
Mix with 1 3/4 cups pure water.
Let stand at room temperature overnight; it will thicken to perfection.
Add scoop of raw almond butter, dab o’ maple syrup or agave nectar.
Sprinkle with sea salt.
Garnish with raw nuts and seeds of your choice.
Thanks, Billy.

I don’t understand this division. If you sign a piece of paper, went through bootcamp, and weild a gun, you get thrown into the not civilian casualty category and then the loss of your life isn’t so bad. Obama today mourned “the mounting loss of civilian life in Gaza and Israel as ‘a source of deep concern.’” What about the loss of all life? What about the...

Survival of the fittest: indeed not. Survival is the boon of man kind. How much better off we would be if survival was not a curse thrown upon us. Day in and day out we wait, watching the clock, count the hours till we aren’t: till we aren’t working, till we aren’t waking, till we aren’t famished, till we aren’t wanting. An ebb and flow of states that we suffer...
Making mashed cauliflower right now. Thank you Mr. Bowden for the tip.
I don’t really know how to write at the moment. The tone I want just isn’t perching upon my shoulders. Some distancing, “I’m smart” point of view keeps on trying to hijack my writing. And it just isn’t honest to how I present myself or maybe more aptly how I want to portray myself, the way I want others to read me, not so that they can lift me up but so that...
I was reading up on milk alternatives (pasteurized milk is terrible for you, me and all people), and during my research, I ran into a wonderfully specious argument against the use of cows milk. The argument went that soy “has to be better than cow milk because first off cow milk is for calves.” Very nice. But wait a second, soy beans aren’t meant for people either, are they?...

Automatic Rifle
the night I turned 25 it was legos on the floor it seemed like a safe enough game for a man to play with his daughter an automatic rifle and a bullet through the window and the troops are satisfied that justice had been delivered that was enough to set the spark of a vision in another 18 years - 18 year old girl - to see herself a martyr to keep up with the cycle of an automatic rifle and a...

Imagine if suffering were real. Imagine if those old people were afraid of death. What if the midget or the girl with one arm really felt pain? Imagine how impossible it would be to live if some people were alone and afraid all their lives. -Jack Gilbert

hello, Daring Fireball.
When God wants to drill a man, and thrill a man and skill a man, When God wants to mold a man to play the noblest part, When He yearns with all His heart to create so great and bold a man That all the world might be amazed, Watch His methods, watch His ways, How He ruthlessly perfects whom He royally elects; How He hammers him and hurts him, And with mighty blows converts him into shapes and forms...

Clinton lashes out at the pro-life position.
Bill Clinton, in his noble quest to keep his wife from being elect, recently berated pro-lifers. He accuses pro-lifers as wanting to criminalize women and their doctors. The crowd loved it. When Al Gore and Dan Quayle debated, Gore, personally opposing abortion but politically supporting it, asked Quayle to affirm the indisputable statement “A women has a right to her own body.” The...
